The Burj Khalifa is located in Downtown Dubai, but here is the most important tip: you cannot actually enter the tower for the observation decks from the street level.

1. Getting to the Entrance (Inside Dubai Mall)
Once you arrive at The Dubai Mall, follow these steps:
- Head to the Lower Ground Floor (LG): Look for the food court area or the Dubai Fountain exits.
- Follow the Signage: Look for large overhead signs labeled “At the Top, Burj Khalifa.”
- Ticket Counters: The entrance and check-in counters are located right next to the food court on the LG floor.
2. Transportation Options.
By Metro (Cheapest)
- Station: Take the Red Line to the Burj Khalifa/The Dubai Mall Metro Station.
- The Walk: From the station, take the Metro Link Bridge. It is a glass-walled, air-conditioned tunnel with travelators.
- Time: The walk takes about 15 minutes. It leads you directly into the mall, from where you head down to the LG floor.
By Taxi or Uber.
- Drop-off: Ask the driver to drop you at the “Dubai Mall – Cinema Entrance” or the main taxi drop-off.
- Note: Taxis cannot drop you at the Burj Khalifa “door” because that entrance is reserved for residents and Armani Hotel guests.
By Car
- Parking: Park in the “Cinema Parking” or “Fashion Parking” at The Dubai Mall.
- Navigating: Once parked, follow signs to the mall and then to the Lower Ground floor.
3. Quick Tips for 2026.
- Book in Advance: Online tickets are roughly 2-3x cheaper than buying them at the counter. Sunset slots (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) often sell out a week in advance.
- Arrival Time: Arrive at least 30 minutes before your ticketed time. The security lines and the walk from the mall entrance can take longer than expected.
- Combo Tickets: If you’re visiting the Dubai Aquarium, buy a combo ticket; since both are in the mall, it’s the most cost-effective way to see both.
